Summary

A project starts with analysing the outgoing situation and the customer's requests (e.g. competent technical and linguistic translation, commercial preparation of the destined text, summarising translation, project volume to produce special glossary etc.). The definition of the target group and the intention of the destined text are very important at this point to be able to make a correct linguistic transfer. Cultural and linguistic differences must be considered.


Versatile steps of the project course

The degree of difficulty of the outgoing text will define the conditions of the project (time, outgoing and target language, layout etc.).

After the conditions are defined and an agreement is found between customer and translator, the translation begins. This happens with linguistic and special field knowledge and competent investigation into the requested languages.
A native speaker will proof read the target text.
The next step is to format and prepare the text according to the customer's request.


Reasons to deny a translation project:

- A text is not within the specialised fields of the translator,
- The delivery date of the target text is too short-termed, and does not agree with the calculated conditions.

To deliver a translation project with perfection is of great value to me. Therefore it can happen that a project will be rejected, if I can not guarantee an impeccable workflow.

The equipment

I work exclusively with quality dictionaries, synonymlexica etc. Supported by technical equipment such as computer, printer, fax, copymachine and Internet, different software (text- and design applications) text can be processed.
